Fall Meet
This year's Fall Meet was held at Riverside City College. It was a very nice and modern venue. Attendance was around 35. There were 4 clinics presented and a pizza lunch served. The swap meet vendors had loads of nice merchandise for sale. The contest entries were a bit thin, but those models that were entered where of very high quality. Larry Tidball won a Merit Award for his West Side Lumber Mulligan Car. What is a Mulligan Car? It was an open air passenger car used to transport lumber jacks to the work site. There was much fellowship among the attendees with representatives from Cajon, LA and San Diego Divisions. On the downside, there were not enough attendees to offset the cost of the venue itself and the event operated at a net loss. It was hoped that more Inland Empire members would be in attendance.
